Episode Synopsis " The Anti-Nutrient Debate "
Some naturally occurring food chemicals have now been given the title ‘anti-nutrients’ and depending on which research paper you read they are either to be avoided or heartily included in each meal. Generally a diet of unprocessed whole foods will improve your health, but for some individuals over eating certain types of these foods can cause problems. Our PAT Expert Naturopath Jenny takes us through the most common anti-nutrients (oxalates, lectins, tannins and phytates) and how certain preparation methods can be beneficial as part of a healthy diet.
