Episode Synopsis "Music in the Key of Geneva #010 | Scott LaFaro"
Every year, in early April, Geneva celebrates the legacy of Scott LaFaro. The jazz bassist grew up in Geneva and the car crash that brought a tragic end to his short life happened just outside the city. For some perspective on Scott LaFaro, we talk to David Brent Johnson, jazz director at WFIU public radio in Bloomington and musician Gap Mangione. Music in the Key of Geneva is a production of the Geneva Historical Society, Kerry Lippincott Executive Director. John Marks is our executive producer. Kelly Walker is our host and producer. Music in the Key of Geneva is supported by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities.
