Episode Synopsis "Conversation with Erika Topete about beginnings of Student Financial Literacy Services at Stanford "

Delighted to interview Erika Topete, Assistant Director at Stanford Student Financial Services for our first video and podcast.  Currently only a hand full of universities and colleges have taken the liberty of putting together a financial literacy program for their student body. Stanford is one of them. With recent implementation of their program, they have been able to teach students basic working knowledge related to personal finance that will benefit them greatly through college years and well beyond.  Erika hails from Houston, Texas, and graduated with her B.A. from Stanford in 2012. She’s passionate about everything financial, including financial services, fintech, and most importantly, financial education. She serves on the board of the personal finance nonprofit Generation Wealthy and is excited to be back on the farm, helping to build a best-in-class financial literacy program for students.
