Episode Synopsis "Indelible field moment"

I enjoyed many of the Moth stories but there was one that stuck out and fit in nicely with my indelible audio moment I chose for my podcast. While I did learn from the lesson behind the podcast, I also feel I benefited from hearing her presentation. Her upbeat energy was engaging and memorable as I want my instruction to be as a teacher. Throughout our storytelling process, I have learned what I now think to be critically important aspects of education as a student, writer, and future educator. As a student, through the process of writing I have to really review and rethink about all the information that we learned about in their respective sections allowing me to more thoroughly understand it. The process of reviewing it not only help the information resonate but in order to correctly use it to write I had to have a more thorough comprehension of the material. As a writer, if push me to expand my vocabulary in effort to bring the reader into the story. In order to use vivid, detailed descriptions as I tried to “show, don’t tell” I was challenged to both use correct punctuation and grammar while also using a slightly higher level of vocabulary. As a future educator, I now see the all the benefits that engaging students in the storytelling writing process has for them as both students and writers. I will now be mindful and try to implement similar activities in my instruction as a teacher. I did have trouble narrowing down the indelible moment I wanted to discuss an exploration task eight. As I felt there were many moments throughout field that I learned something worth writing about. And some might think this doesn’t sound like much of an important moment but as I said in my podcast, I would hate to become known as “that teacher”.Indelible field moment
