Part 1 of our Webinar series, entitled ‘Empowering HBCUs to help unload the promise of the Opportunity Zone Incentive’. This episode will examine the promising strategy of leveraging HBCUs and other minority serving academic institutions to connect Opporutnity Zone capital. The webinar was hosted by David Morgan of D. Morgan and Partners, a pioneering voice for Diversity in Media. Our panelist include Emily Lavery, a legislative assistant, office of US `Senator Tim Scott, United States Senate, directing the offices Finance Committee for tax and trade issues... We also had Robbi Jones from Kipling Jones, who offers innovative financial solutions for public and non-profit organizations. They were joined by Mary Burke Baker from K&L Gates, a seasoned government affairs counselor, leading the tax policy practice.
