Episode Synopsis "Pastor Ben Interview"
Pastor Ben is a passionate and enthusiastic servant of the Lord and is excited to be apart of the FCNB family. Ben was born and raised in Kansas, came to know Christ at a VBS as a 7th grade student in Cimarron, Kansas and attended MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS where he obtained a BA in Youth & Family Ministry. Ben's call to ministry came when he was a junior in high school as he was a leader in his own youth group. But, Ben had life long dreams of being an archaeologist and began college majoring in Biology. It wasn't until his sophomore year at MNU as a singer in the PR group "Assurance" that he accepted God's call on his life to be a youth pastor. He switched his major and completed the 4 year youth ministry program in 3 years. FCNB is Ben's third assignment as a youth minister in the Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from MNU and married his wife, Stephanie, in 2004 and they moved to Orange, TX where Ben was the youth pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene for almost 4 years. Then in 2008 Ben and Stephanie moved to Salina, KS where Ben was the youth pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene for 3 years. In October 2009 while in Salina, Ben and Stephanie were blessed with their daughter Makenna. Then in July 2011, the Lord led Ben and his family to Bradenton, FL where he now serves at FCNB. Ben has a deep desire to see teenagers accept Christ and enjoys teaching them how to have a life long relationship with Him. In his free time, Ben enjoys reading, watching football, fishing, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.
