Episode Synopsis "The fond memories of a volunteer, an interview with Laura Losada."
In this interview we speak with Laura Losada, a volunteer at Husky Rescue Ireland. Laura is originally from Colombia and tells us how she first came to Ireland and then got to know the rescue. She then recounts some of her fondest memories from the rescue. Namely, we speak about Asha, an akita who was rescued from the pound and, to everyone's surprise, was heavily pregnant when she arrived at the HRI centre. We talk about the days that followed as Asha gave birth to her puppies, had to be rushed to hospital and was lucky to make it. Happily, Asha's story is a happy one. She and her puppies have now all been adopted to loving homes. We also talk about more of the good and difficult times that Laura has seen at HRI, and talk about what it's like being a volunteer and part of the "Husky Rescue Ireland family" as Laura calls it! This is a wonderful episode to tune into for anyone who has ever been curious about getting involved with an animal shelter as a volunteer. It's an experience that has become a huge part of Laura's life and it truly shows!
