Episode Synopsis "Episode 5 - grace trathen's show"
According to the Washington Post, last week, the Red Sox visited the White House. On the White House schedule, the team name was misspelled to red s-o-c-k-s instead of the correct spelling of s-o-x. During their visit their was some disagreements among the team on whether or not to meet up with president trump. The team was divided along racial lines. After their visit, on Monday morning, President trump tweeted “Has anyone noticed that all the Boston @RedSox have done is WIN since coming to the White House!”. “Others also have done very well. The White House visit is becoming the opposite of being on the cover of Sports Illustrated! By the way, the Boston players were GREAT guys!” Moving on to our next story from politico, the White House requested an additional 1.6 billion dollars down payment for returning American astronauts to the moon in 2024. President Trump was trying to help support the funding boost on Twitter, saying his administration is “restoring @NASA to greatness.” He proceeded by tweeting “We are going back to the Moon, then Mars,". "I am updating my budget to include an additional $1.6 billion so that we can return to Space in a BIG WAY!” Our last story is also from politico which involves trump dismissing a report that he was planning to send hundreds of thousands of US troops to Iran. He reply’s by saying he’d send a hell of a lot more troops than that if he decided to get more aggressive with Iran. He also says that he would absolutely do that however they have not done any planning for that and hopefully they will not have to plan for that. Trump has said that he would confront Iran with military action if necessary and that he opposes unnecessary military conflict in the Middle East. He later announced plans to pull most American troops out of both Syria and Afganistán.
