Listen "Finding Your Voice and Joy In Writing with Greta Solomon"
Episode Synopsis
My guest today is Greta Solomon, a writing coach and author, whose latest book, Heart, Sass & Soul: Journal Your Way to Inspiration and Happiness, is, as the title suggests, all about finding joy in creativity and self-expression through writing. While she now focuses on creativity, Greta also has a background in teaching business-writing, so in this episode we cover the whole spectrum - from balancing the personal and professional through to finding joy in writing. We discuss the rise in sharing vulnerable stories and treading carefully through that, as well as overcoming the mental blocks you may have around writing to find your true voice.
In 2006, she discovered a talent for helping people overcome the blocks, fears and shame that stops them from fully expressing themselves. Through talks, workshops and online programmes, she teaches real-world writing techniques and inspires others to live rich, full lives. Her work has been featured in Forbes.com, Writers Digest, Kindred Spirit and The Numinous. She is a published poet and songwriter, a psychology graduate, certified life coach, trained lifelong learning teacher and holds a specialist certificate in lyric writing from Berklee College of Music. She lives in London with her husband and their daughter.
Here's what we talk about in this episode:
Business Journey of a Professional Writer
