Our guest today is Ron Stone, President and CEO of Adams Radio Group. In his position, he oversees 20 plus radio stations in markets from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Las Cruces, New Mexico. In addition, Ron was the brainchild and chief organizer of the massive Radio Cares Radiothon held at the end of April 2020 that had over 1000 radio stations participating as a fundraiser for Feeding America. The radiothon helped raise enough money to provide over 5 million meals across the country during the Covid-19 crisis.Ron shares his story about how a CPA fell in love with radio and eventually became a radio seller and then owner in small markets. Ron encourages radio station managers to be that guy that whenever anything is going on in your town, they turn to you first.
