Episode Synopsis "The prerequisite to loving your neighbour as yourself"
In this episode I am joined by Simphiwe Nxumalo as we have a look at a passage from the book Relationship Goals by Michael Todd where he encourages us to use singleness to learn to love ourselves. He says, “According to the Word of God, there's a prerequisite for loving your neighbor: you can love your neighbor only at the level that you love yourself. ... When Jesus said to love others as we love ourselves, he implied we already love ourselves". Our state of singleness is very important. God wants us to know who we are without a person because if we don't know who we are, it puts us on a spin to always validate who God has made us to be. When we don't understand our singleness, we will take it into marriage and try to make our partner make up for our deficiencies. ➤ Listen to previous episodes here: https://anchor.fm/manaka-ramukuvhati/episodes/ ➤ Check out Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/christian.rookie/ ➤ Check out Facebook page: https://web.facebook.com/Christian-Rookie-113777723790947?_rdc=1&_rdr ➤ For comments and suggestions: [email protected]
