Join us as we learn about a program to help disadvantaged youth in the community, our guest today is Elaine Lyon from the Central Macomb Optimist Club and "Shop with the Sheriff" community event. This kind of initiative plays a crucial role in supporting disadvantaged youth and ensuring they have the necessary school supplies and clothing to start the school year successfully. Such events promote community engagement, empathy, and cooperation.The club raised over $23,000 to supporting 153 children with school clothes and items. This project is a great way to enhance community, as it positively impacts the lives of many young students in need.
