Episode Synopsis "Innovation - Part 2 of a 2 part series"
This is Part 2 of my two part series on Innovation. In Part 1, I asked: “Can innovation truly flourish in an organization or does: culture, structure and business model get in the way?” And the answer was yes, yes and yes. We explored ways to get around those barriers to innovation and how to get people to say yes to your ideas. In Part 2, I will ask: “How do you keep your idea alive?” Now that you were able to get the organization to say yes to your idea - how do you make sure that your idea reaches the finish line in the way you had envisioned? How do you continue to build your idea? And how do you leave a legacy that can exist without your involvement? I will chat about my own experience in keeping an idea alive, continuing to build support and leaving a legacy. This is what they couldn’t teach you in business school….because you have to live it to get it.
