Listen "My Deconstruction Journey : how I left Christianity for Spirituality | The bible is not the word of "
Episode Synopsis
While the Bible is filled with insight and wisdom, it also has its flaws and errors, as it was written by men whose understanding of God was imperfect. This is why the Word became flesh—manifesting in human form—to reveal God's true nature to us.
Interestingly, the Bible itself never refers to itself as “the Word of God.” The writers referred to what we now call the Old Testament as “Scriptures” because they understood that distinction.
The Word of God, being God, cannot be confined to a book. The only place capable of containing God is His creation.
I believe it’s crucial to deconstruct the misconception that the Bible, or any holy book, is the Word of God, as this belief limits both our understanding of God and our experience of Him.
I’m not suggesting you stop reading or studying the Bible—far from it. What I mean is to approach it with an open heart, allowing God to work beyond any limitations we may place on Him.
The Bible is a beautiful, sacred text, but let's remember that God’s love and wisdom are boundless. He can reach and touch us in countless ways, through many different means. So, continue immersing yourself in the Scriptures, while also staying open to the infinite ways God can reveal His truth and love to you and others.
Now, you may disagree with me, and that's perfectly okay. What is true for you will resonate with you, just as what is true for me resonates with me. But in the end, we can agree on what matters most: LOVE.
