Episode Synopsis "The Things We Carried"
The objects we carry through our lives reveal portions of who we are. Like brush strokes in a self-portrait, these personal artifacts give form to our cherished relationships and pastimes. An artist carries her paints, a father his son's photograph, a cosmonaut his Russian version of Tang. But since we play not one, but many roles in our lives, the whole of us cannot be described through a single artifact. Rather, our history is written by a mosaic of objects which we collect, carry, and discard over days, months, and years. In The Things We Carried, The Cool Kids explore, through word and image, the roles they play in their own lives and the artifacts that accompany them on their journeys.
