2020 is the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. ‘From the Cradle to the Grave’ was the title of the panel session we had planned at WOW Australia 2020 in partnership with the Queensland Nurses and Midwives Union (QMNU), to celebrate this event with a discussion on the value of these two professions. Well over the last few months we have seen the living proof of this across the globe as our health workers on the frontline have worked tirelessly and sometimes paid the ultimate price with their own lives to keep communities safe. To acknowledge this work Cathy Hunt caught up with Beth Mohle, Secretary of the QNMU for a virtual coffee and to hear Beth’s views.
