Unfocused, separated, former Navy Cobby, an aimless, unmarried ex-con, needs to make atonement with the outside world just as much as Rory has to make peace with his young adolescent son. Together, they end up joining a tiny group that steals from the Boston election night parties hosted by Mayor Miccelli, who is about to be re-elected. Everything only goes horribly wrong when Rory and Cobby find themselves fleeing from the FBI, state and local police, Rangers, and Rory's psychiatrist, Dr. Donna Rivera, who is being held captive by the desperate pair. This engaging comedy-drama has a lot of twists and turns as the two get into various sticky situations.
