After a period of significant mental health battles across the Fitzroy Valley, the Fitzroy Crossing Police have teamed up with service providers across the region to try and take steps to address community concerns. Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services, the local mental health and drug and alcohol counselling services and the Shire of Derby West Kimberley got together with the police to organise a Blue Tree painting event in town.   Senior Constable Courtney Reabel is Fitzroy Crossing's Youth Police Officer; He told Indi Wood that he hopes the Blue Tree event will shine a light on these issues and encourage community to talk to each other, seek help or even just go out on country and do the things that strengthen you as a person.  Photo Credit: bluetreeproject.com.auSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
