Vee Reads & Stuff

Vee Reads & Stuff is a podcast centred on contemporary culture, particularly literature, events and books centred around hip-hop culture and features album reviews of some hip-hop’s dopest albums exploring vast themes. The podcast is only one way to discuss and explore the influences and life stories of some of our favourite artists. A very special segment of the podcast is dedicated to sitting down and speaking to women in the South African hip hop culture on various elements of the culture. I decided to start hosting this podcast in order to explore a different way of releasing what is often trapped in my mind. There is so much beautiful work out there, and it’s so hard to keep up by simply writing articles. The idea of the podcast is taking the listener through emotions and insights about their favourite artist or writer in a cool and dope and 20-minute epi. It’s also an interactive podcast open to everyone, where we can share and explore different types of content, co-host some episodes and I’m also open to recommendations. Each episode will be accompanied by an essay published on my website. Witness.Twitter: @seripe_sanTumblr for other stuff ☺. awomancried.tumblr.com
