Tij and I discuss what happens behind the scenes, the inner dialog, what drives us, and the human spirit. We discuss books, lessons, failures that have shaped us and experiences that have enlightened us. Tij can be found at tijbedi@gmail.com or @tijinator I’m a big believer that everyone has an interesting story to tell, worthy of other people hearing it. It may not be meaningful to everyone but to the few it is, I’m convinced you have a story to tell that can impact others and their lives. I want it all from the heart and from the mind. There is no judgement here, just experiences. The Unspoken focuses in on the people behind a transaction or a deal, a job, startup, group, or company. I want the emotions feelings and even facial expressions, hence why it will be video and audio formats. What does it take to be the person that you are, are there common threads in successes and failures, without sugar coating anything. The intention is to have raw, open conversations with business leaders, group leaders, religious leaders, entrepreneurs and some of those around them, who think differently, who feel deeply, who are different. Most of life’s lessons come our failures, so guests are told not to sugar coat anything, but rather be authentic, be honest, and be real. Stories are shared about the truth behind any type of success and how failure may have shaped people’s behavior, approach or way of thinking. I’m always looking for humility, for introspection put into practice, and kindness including giving back. Tij answers the following questions. Tell me something no one knows about you. Biggest obstacle in life - how did you attack it, get around it, defeat it.Biggest lesson in life - what have you learned that you wish to pass on, and what events shaped this lesson.Biggest failure(s) in life - How did that change you. Regrets - do you have any and what do you think would have been different Reading - is it part of your daily / weekly regiment? What do you read? How does spirituality, if any, play a role in your life and decision making What inspires you? What’s your biggest win or non business success - ex. Kids, creative endeavors, writing, singing, building a house, saving a life by donating a kidney? What lessons have you passed on to friends or family? Routines? - I’m interested in your routines that keep your sanity, feed your soul, give you peace, help you get through the day, prepare you for the meeting or day, set you up to win Goal setting - do you set goals? What type of goals? What, if any, books have you read lately or given away to people. Any words or sayings you live by. What investments are you making right now in yourself, not financial related. Investments in your mental health, health, friendships, self, creative outlets, etc. Who’s at your funeral 50 years from now and what do they say about you today and what would you like them to say 30 years from now. How do people reach you? Website, twitter handle.
