Episode Synopsis "Black-led Brooklyn food coop delivers to families in need during pandemic"

We're talking cooperative retail and emergency food distribution in response to local needs in Brooklyn, with Shaquana Boykin, Food Sovereignty Organizer for the Central Brooklyn Food Cooperative, a start-up incubated by Brooklyn Movement Center in Brooklyn, NY.  The food distribution project was conducted in partnership with Brooklyn Packers, a Black-owned, cooperative food distribution company.   Shaquana also talks about her experience engaging communities through voting and her role as a recently elected District Leader of Assembly District 57.
