Episode Synopsis "Episode 19: Declutter your space before the Holidays"
Welcome to The Planpreneurs Show. I am your host Deborah Stone. On this show I teach you how to start planning , get organized , and be productive. On this weeks episode we talk about Decluttering your space. Do you ever feel like the holidays can be stressful and overwhelming. If you shook your head yes, I can totally relate with you. This time of year there is so much going on and we are pulled into a million directions. Especially this year living during a pandemic can add even more stress. So how can you remove some of this stress in your life and enjoy the holidays. Start by decluttering your space. Whether it is mental, physical, or even your business. There is clutter everywhere and you might not even realize it. Let's start with how to remove the declutter from your home. With the holidays especially you may feel like your house is a disaster zone and you have to get it ready to entertain guest but may be too embarrassed of all the clutter laying around. Start to go through your items and donate items you no longer need. This is going to free up space and make it feel more clean and organized. Not only that but it leads us to the decluttering of our mental space. You may have a long list of things you want to get done but it seems unachievable. By removing unneeded items from your home it is going to free up more space in your mind. You won't have to think about things that are just laying around the house and are collecting dust. Many times our physical space and mental space reflect each other. The happier you are walking into a clean organized room the happier your mental space will be. You will feel a huge weight lifted off your shoulders. Lastly your business, its end of year and things can be really chaotic. Make a list of all the task that need to be done by end of year. Now rate them on a 1 - 3 scale. 1 being urgent and 3 being can wait. Start by working all the urgent task. By getting these out of the way first thing you will immediately start to remove the stress and feel super organized. If you work on all three of these areas before the holidays hit you will be able to really enjoy them. You won't have to think about all the things that still need to be done.
