Episode Synopsis "Episode 2: Implications of COVID-19 on SMME's and the Informal Economy in SA "The Entrepreneur's view""

2020 has been a tricky year, first it was the global economic crisis and then COVID-19. South Africa is in the top 40 countries which are affected by this pandemic. It is no doubt that this has a disproportionate impact on poor households, small and informal businesses. The informal economy in our country and many other African countries play an important role from job creation, productivity to bridging the gap of inequality. A question that remain unanswered amongst many others is “what will be impact of the economic shrinkage in this sector on the overall quality of life and economic growth of our country?” as we try to understand this and craft solutions to ensure that SMME thrive post this pandemic. Join me “Makua” together with couple of A-list type of entrepreneurs who are disruptors across different sectors in South Africa as we engage on this matter.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/lebohang-makua/message
