Listen "Things that shouldn't be this hard, but are"
Episode Synopsis
You know those everyday tasks that seem simple for everyone else—but feel like climbing a mountain for you? That’s what we’re getting into today. I’m joined by a friend of mine, someone who’s high-energy, social, and very different from me in how she moves through the world. Together, we explore the invisible difficulty behind things like laundry, habits, making plans, or showing up to a group hangout when your brain is already running on empty. We talk about how executive dysfunction and social overwhelm show up in totally different ways for each of us, and why even the “basic” stuff can trigger shame, avoidance, or total mental shutdown. There’s humor, reflection, and a lot of “Wait… you too?” moments as we compare how our brains deal with daily life. This episode is about releasing the guilt around what “should” be easy and creating space to admit: some things are hard, and that doesn’t make us failures. If you’ve ever felt broken because of the little things—you’re not alone, and this conversation is for you.
