Listen "Episode 2. Alice"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to the first series of The Books We Read; a podcast that looks to inspire both reading fanatics and literary newcomers.
In today's episode, I am joined by my friend Alice, who I met whilst we were both studying at university. Alice studied Arabic and has gone on to get a really exciting job (I'm still convinced she's a spy...) and she has come to tell us about her favourite books. Her choices are: A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, Women Don't Owe You Pretty by Florence Given and she also tells us about how she'd love to write a book that centres around the 'everything happens for a reason' mantra.
We also talk about It's A Sin, which can be watched on 4od and Alice gives a brief shoutout to Dolly Alderton's fantastic, Everything I Know About Love. Enjoy!
