Dr Nick Riemer is a senior lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and the Department of English at the University of Sydney. He is the coordinator of the History and Philosophy of Linguistics node of the Sydney Centre for Language Research. Dr Riemer spoke to Professor Nick Enfield, Director of the Sydney Centre for Language Research, about the nature and development of linguistics and grammar.
