Episode Synopsis "01 // Melissa Polinar"
Melissa Polinar (@mpolinar) is one of the original Asian American voices that arose out of new media and technology. An established singer/songwriter who “channels the soulfulness of Tracy Chapman and the folkie punch of Stevie Nicks,” Melissa has toured with the likes of David Ryan Harris and Indie Arie, and most recently released "Like I Do" in collaboration with producer Jesse Barrera. We're thrilled to have her as our first feature interviewee. Tune in to hear Melissa sound offf, keeping it real on: evolving as an artist, the relationship between her calling and being Asian American, and what it meant to be in L.A. days after Kobe's passing on Grammy weekend.
