Sophocles Arvanitis is a sound artist, electroacoustic music composer and improviser. His work explores different positions in the composition of systems, that can produce aesthetic results, the creation of sound material, the composition of sound. He intermediates ideas about structuring and constructed or intuitive form, the systematic relationships between humans and sonic environments and creates sound material that may be chosen or done out of several possible alternatives, using processes, field recordings and multiple loudspeaker setups, to compose environments of sound, musical works for fixed media and live performances.
