Dorothy Francis was a singer, dancer, storyteller and educator from the Salteau First Nation. She founded the first Aboriginal Friendship Centre, was the recipient of the order of Canada and elected chair of the National Arts and Crafts Advisory Committee for Canada. Dorothy Francis was also a member of the Baha'i Faith.
