Episode Synopsis
Telling you to drink water instead of eating to see if the sensation goes away isn't the worst advice. But it's often misleading and doesn't get to the root of the problem. Your body has very clear thirst signals, so it's not that. It's just your mind tapping into survival instincts of finding food when bored. The water fulfilled the task of finding something, so your brain marked that as a win.This can lead to additional confusion after a while, though. But you can use this time to create new habits and patterns for boredom that don't lead to the hunger signal at all. It just takes a good gameplan.No excuses!
