Episode Synopsis "Is There a Balm?"

This is inspired by the UMC hymn (and Afro-American spiritual), "There is a Balm in Gilead", which in turn in inspired by Jeremiah 8: 18-22. In the scripture, Jeremiah is lamenting the state of the nation of Israel, and ends with, "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?". In this episode of the podcast I ask that question about the state of affairs in America. Our country is divided and hatred abounds. Someone needs to step up, say "Enough!" and show us the way. And that "someone" needs to be Christians.
