Listen "The essence of mental health awareness at work. Sustain Talks - Bhavna Raithatha"

Episode Synopsis

In this week’s Sustain Talks, I had a wonderful chat with Bhavna Raithatha BSc (Hons) MSc MBACP (Accred) about mental health in the workplace.  We spoke about the attrition rates and how employers can do more.  Bhavna is a psychotherapist, coach and clinical supervisor in mental health and well-being support. With her experience, Bhavna educates us on how people can be easily influenced mentally at work.  Workplace mental health concerns must be analysed in order to determine the amount of risk to employees, once a risk has been identified, efforts must be made to eliminate or limit it as much as possible because whether work is causing or exacerbating a health problem, businesses have a legal obligation to assist their employees.  Bhavna also talks passionately and in line with Pride month, about her concerns on the Conversion therapy ban by the UK government and how important it is for governments to be among citizens with real-life experience, so that a clear grasp of what is going on around us may be achieved.
