Listen "Making Colorado’s Outdoors More Accessible"
Episode Synopsis
Skiing Colorado’s world-class slopes is a favorite pastime for so many people. But enjoying the snowy terrain may be more difficult for some. This week’s Real Talk with Denver 7 and CPR News explores a topic we’ve covered before: Making our state’s great outdoors more accessible. We dive deeper into options for folks who are neurodivergent or have physical limitations, from discounted ski passes to climbing groups for those on the autism spectrum.
Our guests include Justin Engels of the Denver nonprofit REVEL and Kara Van Hoose of Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Plus, we hear from Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters.
Real Talk airs on CPR News and KRCC on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. and Mondays at 6:30 p.m. The TV show airs on Denver7 on Saturdays at 5:30 a.m. and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. It also airs on Local3 on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.
