Send us a textSaturday, 8 November 2025 – Saturday of Week 31 in Ordinary Time (Year C).Readings at Mass:•First Reading: Romans 16:3–9,16,22–27 – “The mystery kept secret for endless ages must be broadcast everywhere.”••Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 144(145):2–5,10–11 – “I will bless your name forever, O Lord.”••Gospel: Luke 16:9–15 – “You cannot be the slave both of God and of money.”• • Main Point: “Faithfulness in small things prepares us for greater things in God’s Kingdom.” (cf. Luke 16:10)Homily Reflection:In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that how we handle small responsibilities reveals who we truly are. He says, “The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones.” God observes how we use our time, our gifts, and even our money not to condemn us, but to see if we can be trusted with more.St. Paul, in the first reading, gives thanks for faithful friends like Prisca and Aquila, who served Christ quietly but powerfully. Their love and generosity strengthened the Church. They are examples of people faithful in small things, and through them, God accomplished great things. In our world, many measure success by money, fame, or power. But Jesus teaches that true greatness lies in integrity and faithfulness. Even small acts being honest at work, helping someone in need, forgiving others become holy when done with love.Concrete Example:Think of someone who faithfully serves at church, maybe arranging chairs or cleaning the altar. Their service may seem small, but to God, it’s a treasure. Like them, when we are faithful in the hidden moments, God can trust us with greater blessings.Way Forward:Let us strive to live each day with integrity in our words, in our work, and in our relationships. We must choose God over money, love over greed, and service over self-interest. Let our lives say: “God, I am yours even in the little things.”Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me to be faithful in the little things. Help me to serve You with honesty and love, to seek Your Kingdom above all else, and to use what You have given me for the good of others. Amen.Support the show
