Episode Synopsis
Send us a textWednesday, 29 October 2025 (Week 30 in Ordinary Time, Year C).Readings.•First Reading: Romans 8:26–30.••Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 12(13):4–6 – “Lord, I trust in your mercy.”•Gospel: Luke 13:22–30 •Main Point:Let the Holy Spirit guide your journey through the narrow door to eternal life.Homily / ReflectionIn today’s Gospel, Jesus challenges us: “Try your best to enter by the narrow door.” This is not meant to discourage us, but to awaken our hearts to the seriousness of discipleship. The “narrow door” represents a life of faith, sacrifice, and love not the easy path of comfort and self-satisfaction.In the first reading, St. Paul reminds us that “the Spirit helps us in our weakness.” We don’t walk through that narrow door alone; the Spirit strengthens us, teaches us to pray, and transforms even our small efforts into something pleasing to God.Think of an athlete training for a race. The training is painful, but the reward is victory. In the same way, choosing forgiveness over revenge, honesty over deceit, and generosity over selfishness might feel hard but each act opens the narrow door wider for us.The Way Forward•Begin each day with a short prayer: “Holy Spirit, guide me through the narrow door today.”•Practice one small sacrifice: forgive someone, avoid gossip, or give time to someone in need.•Trust that even when you fail, the Spirit is praying within you and leading you closer to Christ.PrayerLord Jesus, help me to walk the narrow path that leads to life. May your Spirit strengthen me when I am weak and keep me faithful to your love each day. Amen.Support the show
