In this episode, Frances, Jonathan and Victoria, undergraduate Science students at Fordham University, discuss how vaccines have evolved from the first vaccine, smallpox, developed in 1796, to more contemporary examples like the vaccine against Pneumococcal pneumonia, and finally to the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. They also discuss the some of the challenges behind making an effective HIV/AIDS vaccine.
