Hey everyone, I'm Mike, she's Sophie, that's Brenda, and he's Grogu, and we're On the Road with Mickey! This is episode 264 and this week our feature topic is Getting ready for the opening of Universal's Epic Universe! This week we take a look at Universal's Epic Universe that will be opening on May 22, 2025! Here's what we talked about:
Cheddar from the Big Cheese:
Sophie: Get ready for majestic landscapes, stunning architecture and Disney inspirations aplenty – Adventures by Disney will be taking travelers on brand-new itineraries to Switzerland and Greece! And if you’re a big Disney/history buff (like me), prepare to add these trips to your bucket list. These Adventures by Disney destinations will launch in 2026!
Brenda: Mother’s Day is May 11th. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Moms out there! If you live in the WDW area or are visiting, there are some awesome Mother’s Day activities you can enjoy at Disney Springs, everything from getting a photo with Mom, to taking in a morning fitness class with Mom. Or, if shows are more of a thrill for you, you can get special Mother’s Day tickets for Drawn to Life at Cirque du Soleil. The tickets are 20% off and can be purchased from now to May 11th, and can be used for performances through September 28th!
Mike: Yesterday was Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you! Disney released two new walkthrough videos on Disney+ for our enjoyment and to commemorate the day. The first is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, and the other is a ride-along through Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! So even if you aren’t at the parks, you can still enjoy a little Disney at home!
