Hey everyone, I'm Mike, she's Sophie, that's Brenda, and he's Grogu, and We're On the Road with Mickey! This is episode 284, and our feature topic this week is The Best Views at Disney (fireworks, parades, etc.)! Today we're continuing our series of shows based on your poll choices, and we're going to share where we like to be for the different special entertainment! Here's what we talked about:
Cheddar from the Big Cheese:
Mike: Today I’m taking us over to Universal Orlando Resort, where they have just announced the dates for the transformation to the Winter Wonderland for the resort and parks. Holidays at Universal will run from November 21, 2025 - January 4, 2026! Will you be there to celebrate the holidays?
Brenda: In case you haven’t heard, Walt Disney World has some new promotions for 2026!
Sophie: Disney Legend Josh Gad, who has graced our pages with talks of being a Jungle Cruise Skipper, has for his latest assignment, been made a cast member for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. Here’s a great YouTube video of his efforts: I broke YouTube…

Kelly said “Only One? I have 3:Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (Magic Kingdom)Zebra Domes - (AKL Boma or Mara)Beer Cheese Soup - (Le Cellier - Canada/Epcot)”
PJ Said “Popcorn! Nothing like Disney’s popcorn. The dole whips are delicious too!”
Sheila said “I love the Choza De Margarita at Tacos de Cocinita and the guacamole and chips at the Margarita booth in Epcot. That’s because I’m S-P-I-C-E-Y”
Robin said “Mickey waffles. They hit just right in the morning before a big day!”
Paula said “Hard to pick just one but I’ll also go with the classic dole whip. There was one in 2019 called Redd’s Revenge that was fun. I love how fun and creative they get with them, though it’s hard to beat the classic pineapple.”
Chandler said “Churro at Disneyland.(The ones at WDW were no bueno.)”
Chrissy said “Depends on the place due to my allergies. I love the salad at Liberty Tree Tavern”
Randy said “I love the chili cheese dogs on main street.”

Magic Kingdom:
Festival of Fantasy (3PM) Frontierland - arriving about 20 or 30 minutes early
If stroller, we go by Country Bear Jamboree
Look at Pecos Bill to be able to watch the parade while enjoying a snack.
Tip: If there are two showings of a parade for an evening parade, consider viewing the second time, because it is often much less crowded.
Starlight Parade and Fireworks:
2nd Level of the Train Station for the Fireworks show, then stay there for the 2nd showing of the Parade, which starts in Town Square
Sometimes stand right where Main Street and Town Square meet.
Sophie’s Preference: Not worried about the projections, she watches the fireworks from behind the Castle

Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary bar at the top of the resort
