To celebrate Malnutrition Awareness Week, Lucy is joined by Registered Dietitian Catherine Rabess to discuss the role of a community dietitian in addressing malnutrition.Catherine Rabess is an experienced Registered Dietitian specialising in gastroenterology and complex nutrition support, with a focus on functional gut disorders including IBS, gastroparesis, colorectal surgery and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Catherine’s expertise also covers undernutrition and enteral nutrition in the areas of bowel disease, neurological disabilities and conditions. Catherine works in the NHS as a Clinical Lead for a community Nutrition and Dietetic service and also in private practice providing one to one consultations. Driven by her passion for diversifying Nutrition and Dietetics and shaping the future workforce, Catherine is an active member of the BDA and a media spokesperson. Where she provides evidence-based nutrition to media, featured in The Independent, the BBC and Women’s Health, alongside her Instagram @caffdietitian.In this episode, Catherine will share her career journey, including the in’s and out’s of being a community dietitian.
