Episode Synopsis "NKC on Health Disparities w/Tasha Akitobi (part 1)"
We are often told about how African Americans, more than any other race in America, are stricken with chronic illness. In this episode, I talk with my long time friend, Tasha Akitobi, a public health professional about how health disparities and systemic issues contribute to this increased incidence of disease. She explains that it is the task of our public health system alongside our community members to "get to the root" and examine our health issues in depth in an effort to make improvements.
