African Americans have been misrepresented time and time again. Statistics, stereotypes and sweeping generalizations have been accepted as truths despite historical evidence or our own personal accounts. It is time to end the negative narratives and examine our families, our history and our wellness in depth for ourselves! We are Noble - we are self-taught, educated, resilient, creators who have contributed to the development of the modern society on every level. We are Kin - we are family-minded; we remain close to extended family and and embrace friends to build communities that value healthy environments despite the surrounding circumstances. We are NOBLE KIN! Join me - Tahira Karriem a Registered Nurse with over 13 years experience working to serve families. Listen in, as I meet with professionals, educators, enthusiasts, family and friends to discuss topics pertaining to health and examine hour our unique cultural experiences as African Americans have influenced our journey to wellness.
