This is a story with equal amounts of inspiration and education. I talk to Johnny Moore from Smash Palace, the busy and popular outdoor bar in central Christchurch New Zealand. Johnny and Family owned a very popular live venue and bar in central Christchurch which was destroyed in the 2011 earthquakes. Johnny, in the bar at the time survived the building collapse and rebuilt the business with a new profile and audience. In this interview he talks about the emotional challenges, his passion for hospitality and what made all the difference in being able to get back into business quickly and successfully. We talk about the current Lockdown during this Covid 19 pandemic and what the future might look like for them.
