Marissa Gutierrez-Vicario is an artist, curator, educator, and human rights activist whose passions drive her to bring about a force of change from within. She is the Executive Director of Art and Resistance Through Education (ARTE), an organization that educates young people around human rights change and an Adjunct Professor at the City College of New York in the Art Education Department. By educating and empowering young people to use art as a means of social justice and human rights activism, Marissa creates opportunities to connect them to challenge local and global issues. She has traveled to over 50 countries to present workshops and research peacemaking through various fellowships. You may about ARTE at artejustice.org.
