Episode Synopsis "A Conversation about our Writing G.P.A.- Genre, Purpose, and Audience in Student Writing"

Yet many teachers focus on explicit strategies and final products more so than the underpinnings of writing and what it means for readers. This episode will focus on the importance of discussing genre, purpose, and audience when teaching our students about writing; specifically connected to conventions and why they keep making the same mistakes when they write in our classrooms.
