In this episode, Anne Duffy is joined by Meg Dietzel, Ohio’s Regional President for Patterson Dental. The Patterson Dental company is a long-time friend of DeW, whose primary focus is to distribute the best dental equipment, software, technology solutions, and services. Meg Dietzel goes into her career in the US Air Force, and what led her to begin working at Patterson Dental. She discusses the feeling of being one of the only women in a career full of men, and being one of the only female Regional Presidents for Patterson. Taking inspiration from her female colleagues, Meg decided to start Patterson’s Women in Dentistry Leadership Series, where female dentists can come together and empower each other to achieve their goals and gain new skills.
She and Anne discuss the importance of giving yourself permission to take care of yourself, as well as making time every day for some self care. The two also discuss important mentors who have influenced their career journeys, and Meg gives three pieces of great advice for all of the future female leaders.
