Episode Synopsis "Osteopathic Medical Student Interview: Should I Become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine?"

In our second podcast, we interview a medical student who is currently studying the discipline of Osteopathic Medicine.   Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or D.O.'s, as they are more commonly known, are licensed to practice medicine in all 50 states, and in addition to common practices of diagnosis and treatment used by allopathic doctors (aka M.D. doctors), DO doctors are also trained in the use of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), which can in some cases be used in place of, or in addition to, more traditional treatments and medicine.  Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine represent more than 114,000 of the current practicing physicians in the United States, per AACOM. As of 2018-2019 matriculation, D.O. medical students represented more than 25% of total medical students in training in the US.  We appreciate your support and thank you for listening!
