UOI is short for Urban Outreach Initiatives. Housed under the Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Department of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations, the UOI office aims to raise the voice and the visibility of those typically on the margins - such that their change agency is influential, transformative, and life enhancing. In this series, we dig into the individual lives and life stories of various members of the UOI community, and how their stories and life purpose intersect with social justice in education and continued advocacy and activism.
