#013: Healthcare, you don’t know what you don’t know

In strict adherence to the technicism that separates the term that catalogs our Internet speed, we could say that today bandwidth is fast and quick, however, users sometimes doubt if it’s indeed Broadband or Narrowband... Given this reality, we documented both terms by the hand of our ZARZA Engineers, spotting solutions to overcome slow connections. Are you satisfied with your bandwidth? Your satisfaction probably reflects what the statistics show, which demonstrate dissatisfaction on 8 out of 10 "broadband" users worldwide, expressing they should have more speed for what they pay, or less. This is primarily due to the difference among prices of high-speed connections in first-world class latitudes, against the narrow services offered in countries that depend on those first mentioned, which due to distance, and the rise in prices of old technologies in the update factor, come to show how ratios overpass even 1: 100. That means there are services for which for example, you pay certain amount in a country getting "1 mega", and for the same cost, in the United States you get a 100Mbps connection. This leads users to wonder if what they have is, in tone of jest, broadband or narrowband? Below we address the definition of the 3 terms discussed in this opportunity: Bandwidth: In IT systems, bandwidth refers to the amount of data that can be transported by any means in a given period of time. Broadband: Refers to the transmission of data by modern means, which allows high speed data transfer between one or several points at a time. Narrowband: In the connections’ world, a narrowband connection means a type of connection that uses a very low bandwidth such as telephone modem (dial-up) for example. However, the use of these terms is, in strict technical attachment, somewhat outdated since the concepts are basically defined by the customers, who teach us by their comments and case studies that even it’s called bandwidth, it’s actually narrow, since they must wait too long to enjoy their downloads, videos, etc, resulting in lost of productivity and time, so undoubtedly not cooperating with the loyalty providers must build with their customers.
