So let's get this out of the way. You need to stop being surprised every time you disagree with someone. Whether you argue a lot (but badly, which hurts the relationship) or have given up and just stopped talking (which causes disconnection, distance and makes the relationship feel shallow), you must learn how to argue better. Learning how to argue is vital to sustaining a long-term relationship that feels alive and meaningful. So how do we deal with this?
