Listen "What is Reformed Theology?"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we take a closer look at the Reformation—not just as a moment when the church was shaken and new movements were born, but as the soil out of which Reformed theology grew. The 16th century wasn’t simply an explosion of ideas; it was a return to Scripture. As the Reformers called the church back to the authority of God’s Word and the purity of the gospel, a distinct way of reading the whole Bible began to take shape. Out of that recovery came what we now call Reformed theology: a biblical, covenant-centered, confessional, Calvinistic, deeply Christ-focused framework for understanding God’s work from Genesis to Revelation. We’ll trace how the Reformation clarified essential truths, why not everything born out of that era is “Reformed,” and how clear theological categories can anchor us rather than confuse us. Some embrace this tradition, some misunderstand it, and some push back against its language, but all of us benefit from seeing where it came from and why it matters.Book Recommendation: The Mystery of Christ, His Covenant, and His Kingdom by Samuel Renihan https://a.co/d/furt5reFollow Three Thirty Ministry on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/three.thirty.mens.ministry/Subscribe to He Must Increase on Youtube:www.youtube.com/@HeMustIncreasePodcastCheck Out Our Website: threethirtyministry.com#theology #reformed
